Kyogle Foodies Expand - Northern Star Article
Iron Pot Food Company has big plans to broaden its markets beyond
the Northern Rivers and South East Queensland thanks to the NSW
Goverment's New Market Expansion Program. Minister for Regional
Development, David Campbell, said the Kyogle company had been encourages
to target new markets through the program. Mr Campbell said Iron
Pot Food Company used the assistance to upgrade its marketing including
its website. The Company began production in July 2001, building
their commercial kitchen 'on-farm' in 2003. Now employing six people,
the Iron Pot Food Company, has been reviewing its corporate image,
developing new packaging. "It's good news for the Kyogle community.
An initial step in that direction will be attending fine food shows
in Sydney and Brisbane," Mr Campbell said. "They will
also seek distributors in capital cities and consider export markets
in the future as a way to grow business."
The Cancer Council
Iron Pot Food Company supports "Let's Take Control of Cancer"
Regional Forum in the Far North Coast Region by contributing product
to guest speaker hampers.
Byron Bay Writers Festival
Iron Pot Food Company supports the Byron Writers Festival with the
provision of our Gluten free Gingerbread Biscuits and Macadamia
Squares for the Writers Green room.
Our Kids Charity
Iron Pot Food Company supported Our Kids Charity Fundraiser at the
second Lismore Wine Festival 2005 at the Left Bank Café with
a magnificent display of products for the wine tasters to indulge
in.
"The Art of Women" Celebration
of International Women's Day
Lea Hine was a guest speaker at this funded event held at the Roxy
Gallery in Kyogle, sharing her experience of being a creative business
women.

Council our kitchen has allowed for increased production whilst
keeping stringent controls over food safety. With views to bush
land, herb gardens, chooks and bees, our work place is a beautiful
spot to be. People on the phone often comment on the sounds of birds
and our rooster in the back ground.
